The ALAT Resource Kit supplements the ALAT Training Manual and contains the additional resources on the ALAT reference list to study for the ALAT Certification exam. The resource kit incorporates study material into one neat package. No more tracking down copies of publications recommended for study. Included in the packet:

• The Guide to the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (1996 edition)
• Animal Welfare Regulations
• Technician Certification Handbook

Components of resource kits are not sold separately.

Note about the new edition of the Guide:

A 2010 edition of the Guide has been published but is not yet available in print - only pdf. The certification exam is currently referenced to the 1996 edition (what is sold in this kit) of the Guide. For the remainder of this year, questions will be referenced to both the 1996 edition and the new 2010 edition (new) of the Guide. When new questions are added to the exam based next year, the exam will then be referenced only to the new Guide.

Study guidelines for certification candidates:

·         In 2010, candidates may study either the old or new Guide edition.

·         In 2011, candidates should study only the new Guide edition.
