The Xenopus laevis poster highlights the critical embryonic stages and details the adult anatomy, including aspects of sexual dimorphism. Illustrations portray the external anatomical features, including the site for pithing, and the internal organs of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary, cardiovascular, lymphatic, neurological, and skeletal systems. An additional illustration of the oral cavity will show the absence of a tongue—a unique feature in this species. This poster is illustrated by Gheorghe M. Constantinescu, DVM, PhD, Drhc, the veterinary anatomist and medical illustrator at the University of Missouri—Columbia, who previously illustrated our rabbit anatomy poster.
