C1 = 35%, v1 = 1
C2 = 5%, v2 = x
35/1 = 5/x
x = 7 volumes

The correct answer for how much water to add is 6 because to make up a solution starting with 1 volume of bleach, you must add 6 volumes of water so that that the total volume becomes 7. In short, 7 - 1 = 6. |
