The AALAS Grants for Laboratory Animal Science (GLAS) program has issued grant funds totaling over $600,000 in the past 5 years for 32 studies that added new knowledge to the field of laboratory animal science. The standard grant funding limit is $50,000. 2012 marked the advent of the new small grants program, for funding up to $7,500, and five outstanding proposals received funding in this new and exciting program. 

An application form, information on the program, and a tutorial on GLAS application are available at www.aalas.org/glas. Begin planning your study now to complete a well-developed proposal in time for the application deadline (Feb 1, 2013).
