National Meeting Information for International Attendees
International attendees to the AALAS National Meeting may request from AALAS an invitation letter to assist in obtaining a travel visa. Invitations will be sent standard mail; however, expedited delivery is available at the requestor’s expense. Click here to request a letter.

The AALAS Speakers Bureau is a service provided by AALAS to help international meeting organizers locate speakers for their meetings.
If you are a speaker and would like to add your name to the list of speakers, email irac_speakers@aalas.org. Enter your name and location in the subject line of the message.
Meeting planners who desire to request a speaker should email irac_speakers@aalas.org. Enter the name of your group/organization in the subject line of the message, and include the following information in the body of the message:
Name of presenting group
Contact person
Contact person's email address
Dates and location of proposed meeting
Topic to be presented by the speaker
Language the topic is to be presented in (i.e., Spanish, Russian, etc.)
List of speaker expenses (if any) to be paid for by the presenting group
AALAS will distribute this information to the speakers' list. Interested speakers should then contact the meeting contact person directly to discuss details. All negotiations regarding travel, fees, dates, etc., will be between the meeting contact person and the potential speaker.
Once a speaker is scheduled for the meeting, please notify AALAS of the details of the speaker agreement. AALAS will advertise the group's event on the AALAS website and in the published AALAS calendar of events.
About IRAC
Established in 1998 as an ad hoc committee, the IRAC has developed into its present form as an AALAS Advisory Council comprised of three members appointed for rotating 3-year terms, the AALAS representatives to international affiliated organizations, a BOT liaison, and an AALAS Staff liaison. Charged with fostering international relationships for the exchange of ideas and information, IRAC strives to:
• Promote liaisons with other societies and advocacy organizations.
• Assimilate and address issues relative to the international laboratory animal
science community.
• Attract, stimulate and support a diverse membership within AALAS.
• Generate enthusiasm and opportunity for active participation in AALAS.
• Establish synergy within the AALAS community.
