Program Format

The program is a fully immersive, intensive management and leadership training program over a 2-year period. (A second-year participant who is unable to attend the second year class after a three-year break shall be required to repeat year one of the ILAM Program and pay applicable fees before attending year two.) Orientation and classes for each level will begin on the first or second weekend in May, and closing ceremonies will conclude the program on the following Thursday evening.

Continuing Education Units

Participation in each year of ILAM qualifies toward the AALAS Technician Certification Registry requirements at all levels of certification and has been approved for CEUs from the American Association of Veterinary State Boards.

ILAM Faculty

ILAM faculty are selected for their expertise on subjects relating to management and specifically to managing laboratory animal care and use programs.
