A nonprofit individual membership association based outside of the United States with a purpose consistent with AALAS’ mission may apply for global partnership with AALAS by submitting this form to the AALAS national office for formal approval by the Board of Trustees (BOT) at one of its scheduled meetings; see the Leadership section of the AALAS website for  upcoming meeting dates. Global Partner (GP) status is authorized by a two-thirds vote of the BOT; you will be informed in writing of the BOT’s decision immediately following the meeting.

Global Partnership membership is $450.

In addition to completing the application form applicants are required to provide the AALAS National Office with the following documents in English:

  • Evidence demonstrating that it has been in existence for at least three (3) years.
  • A copy of its organizational documents, including its current articles of incorporation or constitution, bylaws and mission statement.
  • Documentation demonstrating its nonprofit, NGO and/or tax exempt status.
  • Documentation detailing the applicant’s programs, activities and services.
  • A organizational resolution adopted by the organization’s or group’s governing body demonstrating the organization’s or group’s pledge of support of the mission and core values of the Association.
  • A copy of the organization’s most recent federal or national government tax filing or equivalent for organization's country.
  • A completed AALAS Global Partner Leadership Roster form.
  • Note: all documents must be in English

To Maintain Status:

A Global Partner Organization Member shall renew their membership by submitting their dues to AALAS National Office annually and:

  • by May 1, provide the AALAS National Office with a list of its current officers;
  • update the AALAS National Office of any change in the Organization Member’s contact person.
  • every three (3) years, within ninety (90) days of its membership anniversary date, and upon the request of the Association at other times, provide the AALAS National Office with the following information:
    • Documentation demonstrating its continuing nonprofit, NGO and/or tax exempt status
    • Documentation detailing the applicant’s current programs, activities and services and
    • A copy of the organization’s most recent federal or national government tax filing or equivalent for organization's country.
