WEB-027A: People often make the mistake of interpreting dog signals as if they were human. Dogs often interpret human body language as if we were dogs! This can be particularly detrimental in the laboratory, especially if fear is mistaken for stubbornness or leads to threat behaviors or conflicts. Let's start speaking the same "language." This presentation will show how to accurately interpret dog facial expressions and body language, based on scientific research. We will also talk about training for procedures in the laboratory setting.
