Mollie Bloomsmith, PhD
Dr. Bloomsmith is currently Head of Behavioral Management and a Research Professor at Yerkes National Primate Research Center/Emory University. She was previously Assistant Experimental Psychologist and Assistant Professor of Comparative Medicine, University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, Department of Veterinary Sciences. Mollie received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Behavior form University of California, Davis, A Master of Science in Experimental Psychology and her PhD in Experimental Psychology, Georgia Institute of Technology. Mollie is a Past President of the American Society of Primatologists.
Jaine Perlman, RLATG, BA
Jaine is the Manager of the Behavior Management Unit at the Yerkes National Primate Center. She has authored many peer-reviewed papers and contributed to a book chapter in the Management of Animal Care and Use Programs in Research, Education, and Testing (2nd edition).
Sherrie Jean, DVM, DACLAM
Dr. Jean is the Associate Veterinarian Scientist at Yerkes National Primate Research Center - Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Dr. Jean received her Bachelor of Science and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Louisiana State University. She then received training in laboratory animal and primate medicine through the Emory University School of Medicine and Emory Primate Center (EPC) residency program from 2007-2009. In 2010, she completed a fellowship in primate medicine and became a diplomate of the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (DACLAM).
Dr. Jean joined the EPC Veterinary Department in 2012. Her responsibilities include: research and veterinary support for nonhuman primate (NHP) infectious disease studies; backup veterinary and research support for the center's rodents: NHP surgery training coordinator; and co-course coordinator for the residency graduate school course "Biology, Medicine & Management of Nonhuman Primate and Exotic Species."
